Who is responsible for maintaining my HIU (Heat Interface Unit)?

The Heat Interface Unit (HIU) and heat meter do form part of the primary heat network, so may be the Building Owner / Freeholder’s responsibility to maintain. Whether this is the case, it would be stipulated within your lease agreement. If you are not sure, please get in touch with the Managing Agent for your development. It’s important that your HIU is maintained regularly in line with manufacturer guidance.
