How frequently will I be billed?

  • Updated

In most developments, we issue bills monthly. However, billing frequency can vary depending on the agreement in place for your development.

Why billing frequency can differ

Billing schedules are set at a development level, not for individual apartments.

This means:

  • The Building Owner or Managing Agent decides how often residents are billed
  • Some developments choose to bill more frequently than quarterly
  • We’re unable to change billing frequency for individual properties, as it must be consistent across the whole development

This helps ensure billing is fair, accurate, and aligned with how the communal energy system is managed.

Where can I check my billing schedule?

Once your account is set up, we’ll send you a Welcome Pack. This includes:

  • Who we are and our responsibilities as your billing agent
  • Your responsibilities as the resident
  • A guide to your online account
  • A leaflet explaining how your energy system works and the benefits it provides
  • A guide to understanding your bill
  • Payment options
  • Contact options
  • Energy saving tips and further support options

Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) meters

If your home uses a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) meter, your billing works differently.

Instead of receiving regular bills:

  • You top up your energy credit as and when needed
  • Charges are deducted from your balance as energy is used

You can find more information about how PAYG works and your specific system in our Pay-as-you-go articles.
