How do you collect meter readings?

  • Updated

Typically, Data Energy utilises a data collection system to remotely gather meter readings. This system, often a wired or wireless network, connects all meters to a central endpoint known as a ‘data logger’ (or multiple loggers for larger networks). The data logger then transmits metering data, typically through a GSM or ADSL connection, to our office server, where it's processed by our data collection software.

Whilst various data collection systems exist, this method is the most commonly used.
