What is a tariff?

  • Updated

A tariff is the charge for your utility supply. It usually has two parts:

  • unit charge, based on how much energy you use.
  • One or more fixed charges, such as a standing charge and an admin fee.

All apartments within a district supply scheme share the same tariff. The only exception is where there is a mix of credit and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) customers, as data collection fees differ slightly between the two.

You can find details of your current tariff rates on the tariff card or letter you received when your charges were last updated.

You can also view your tariff at any time in your Customer Portal account
